John⁴ CHALMERS (Alexander³, James², William¹) (#31) was born Muiryhill, Alvah parish, Banffshire, Scotland 26 March 1795.⁽¹²⁶⁾ John died before 31 March 1851 Aberchirder, Marnoch parish, Banffshire, Scotland, at approximately 56 years of age.⁽¹²⁷⁾ His wife, Jane Tocher, a widow. His body was interred before 31 March 1851 Aberchirder, Marnoch parish, Banffshire, Scotland.

He married Jane TOCHER about 1816. (Jane TOCHER is #32.) Jane was born Commisty, Forgue parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland before 27 April 1796. Jane was the daughter of John TOCHER and Isobel Elizabeth HAY. Jane died 29 November 1872 Aberchirder, Marnoch parish, Banffshire, Scotland, at 76 years of age.⁽¹²⁸⁾ Her body was interred after 29 November 1872 not known where buried.⁽¹²⁹⁾

Religion: Church of Scotland.⁽¹³⁰⁾ "Anno 1795 John L.S. of Alexander Chalmers and Janet Barclay in Muiryhill was born 26th.March and baptized 2nd April1795. Witnesses: Alexander Jamieson and Walter Chalmers both in Muiryhill."
