He married Barbara ESSLEMONT Auchterless parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, about 1894.⁽²⁷²⁾ (Barbara ESSLEMONT is #71.) Barbara was born Bruckhills, Auchterless parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 4 August 1869. Barbara was the daughter of James ESSLEMONT and Helen BARCLAY. Barbara died after 1936.

He resided Huntly, Huntly parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 1901, 2 Mill Buildings, Church St.⁽²⁷³⁾

Alexander LOW and Barbara ESSLEMONT had the following children:

2 i. Christina² LOW (#368) was born in Chapel of Garioch, Chapel of Garioch parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland about 1895.

3 ii. Mary Ann LOW (#1686) was born Huntly, Huntly parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland about 1897.

4 iii. Alexander E. LOW (#1390) was born Huntly, Huntly parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland about 1899. He resided Huntly, Huntly parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 19 December 1962, 2 Mill Buildings, Church St.⁽²⁷⁴⁾ Alexander was unmarried, 19 December 1962.⁽²⁷⁵⁾ According to Jeannie Gordon nee Christie, Alexander never married but lived with his sister and husband. The latter were in huntly at time of Jeannie's letter, 19 December 1962. See Family tradition no 14
