2. William² BRUCE (William¹) (#1254) was born 7 July 1885. William died 9 July 1964 in Didsbury Alberta, British Columbia, Canada, at 79 years of age.

He married Hanna Hendry CHALMERS in Fordyce parish, Banffshire, Scotland, 17 October 1908. (Hanna Hendry CHALMERS is #1253.) Hanna was born in MacDuff, Gamrie parish, Banffshire, Scotland 1 February 1884.⁽¹⁰⁴⁾ Hanna was the daughter of John Shepherd CHALMERS and Mary CHRISTIE. Hanna died 13 December 1969 in Didsbury Alberta, British Columbia, Canada, at 85 years of age.

William BRUCE and Hanna Hendry CHALMERS had the following children:

+ 3 i. William Chalmers³ BRUCE was born 1 November 1908.

4 ii. Alexander BRUCE (#1266) was born in Fordyce parish, Banffshire, Scotland about 1911. Alexander died about 1929 in Didsbury Alberta, British Columbia, Canada.

5 iii. Hanna Jessie BRUCE (#1267) (still alive).

6 iv. Ethel BRUCE (#1268) (still alive).

+ 7 v. John Chalmers BRUCE (still alive).

8 vi. Dorthy BRUCE (#1270) was born Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 25 May 1923. Dorthy died 19 November 1968 at 45 years of age. She married Elmer ROGERS about 1943. (Elmer ROGERS is #1286.) (See Elmer ROGERS for the continuation of this line.)
