William⁶ BARCLAY (James⁵, Alexander⁴, Adam³, Adam², Alexander¹) (#1163) was born Redhill, Auchterless parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 2 September 1873.⁽⁸⁵⁾ William died 8 July 1911 Little Newton, Auchterless parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at 37 years of age.⁽⁸⁶⁾ His body was interred after 8 July 1911 Auchterless parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, kirkyard. Stone in Auchterless kirkyard: " Erected by Isabella Milton In memory of her husband William Barclay Who died at Little Newton Auchterless 8th. July 1911 aged 47 Years Also the above Isabella Milton Who died there 12th. April 1960 In her 82nd. Year"

He married Isabella MILTON about 1898. (Isabella MILTON is #1164.) Isabella was born in Marnoch parish, Banffshire, Scotland about 1878. Isabella was the daughter of Robert MILTON and May BARCLAY. Isabella died 12 April 1960 Little Newton, Auchterless parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at 81 years of age. The information on this family was given to me by Mary Barclay living at Little Newton Autherless August 1997. Much of the info was confirmed by Stones in Auchterless kirkyard.

William BARCLAY and Isabella MILTON had the following children:

59 i. Isabella⁷ BARCLAY (#1172) was born Little Newton, Auchterless parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland about 1904. Isabella died 30 December 1983 in Fechil, Undy parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at 79 years of age. She married George MOWATT about 1925. (George MOWATT is #1173.) George was born about 1905. George died Fyvie parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. (See George MOWATT for the continuation of this line.)

60 ii. William BARCLAY (#1165) was born Little Newton, Auchterless parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland about 1907. William died 31 March 1990 5 Rothie Park, Fyvie parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at 82 years of age. His body was interred after 31 March 1990 Auchterless, Auchterless parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Stone in Auchterless kirkyard:

" In memory of William Barclay died at 5 Rothie Park 31st.March 1990 aged 83 beloved son of the late Mr & Mrs W. Barclay Little Newton Rothienorman also Norman Barclay died at Inverurie hospital 1st.Dec.1995 aged 84 brother and son of above"

62 iv. Norman BARCLAY (#1166) was born Little Newton, Auchterless parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland about 1911. Norman died 1 December 1995 Inverurie, Inverurie parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at 84 years of age. His body was interred after 1 December 1995 Auchterless, Auchterless parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Stone in kirkyard:

" In memory of William Barclay died at 5 Rothie Park 31st.March 1990 aged 83 beloved son of the late Mr & Mrs W. Barclay Little Newton Rothienorman also Norman Barclay died at Inverurie hospital 1st.Dec.1995 aged 84 brother and son of above"
