77. John⁵ CHALMERS (Hay⁴, William³, James², William¹) (#441) was born Muiryhill, Alvah parish, Banffshire, Scotland 19 February 1819. John died after 7 June 1878 at approximately 59 years of age.⁽¹⁵⁸⁾

He married Ann MURISON in Peterhead parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, 20 August 1839.⁽¹⁵⁹⁾ (Ann MURISON is #1612.)

He was baptized Muiryhill, Alvah parish, Banffshire, Scotland, 23 February 1819. Religion: Church of Scotland. John's occupation: farm labourer Rosehearty, Pitsligo parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, 23 April 1855.⁽¹⁶⁰⁾ The descendants of John Chalmers are not totally proven as they were two johns born c. 1819 in Alvah parish. So we cannot conclude for certain that this is the correct John. This information of the descendants was given to me by Lynda Chalmers, Australia ID 1632. She gave me more info but requested that I did not place it in the public domain.

John CHALMERS and Ann MURISON had the following children:

137 iii. John Murison CHALMERS (#1614) was born in Pitsligo, Pitsligo parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 27 November 1844.

138 iv. Charles CHALMERS (#1615) was born about 1848.

139 v. Mary CHALMERS (#1616) was born about 1849.

+ 140 vi. Alexander CHALMERS was born 23 April 1855.

141 vii. William Ingram CHALMERS (#1620) was born in Pitsligo, Pitsligo parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 20 September 1857.
